Totally crossplay compatible if the PC version is on the console beta branch in steam settings and the player hosting the game has their router port forwared on port 34197.
The only thing we've ve noticed so far with performance is when I'm playing with a friend who's on PC and I'm hosting the game he can't properly drive cars around because the delay is too much and it won't steer at the right times, other than that everything seems to be fully functional. First time player on the switch never played it on PC before, haven't got that far cause I got up to blue science with a friend before we decided to restart on a resource rich world with no biters cause I was initially struggling with controls, we've gotten a bit further on the new world than before the restart and there's still no issues besides my new player discovery and spaghetti, we just barely researched robots but cause he's making me figure out how the game works we haven't gotten any built just yet. I got the game Monday night and I have over 38 hours of play time somehow already. Look both ways before you cross the tracks. The only significance is life, which leads to the further wisdom.
